The Window & Door Manufacturers Association yearly conference was held in Minneapolis this year. This was the first in-person conference in two years, and it was very well attended. The first day was filled with lively discussions including various codes and standards impacting window, doors, and skylights. Strategies were developed to move the industry forward.
Twelve educational sessions were offered during the day and a half conference. Attendees also heard from the Farnsworth Group on the annual 2022 Market Study results. Other topics included WDMA’s PR initiative supporting high performance windows and changes of the latest windows standards. Additional education sessions included updates on the latest energy codes, the status of the economy, future trends for the door and window market, the latest energy codes, and design considerations for triple paned windows.
The WDMA Supplier Appreciation Dinner was held on June 15 where a few of the members were acknowledged for their support of WDMA’s membership recruitment efforts. Pictured are Andrea Nordaune of Andersen Corporation, Mark Rieser of Windsor Windows & Doors, and Steve Tourek of Marvin.
