One of Woodgrain and Windsor’s core values is respect for people and we believe this starts within the walls of our own organization. Windsor Windows & Doors takes pride in the fact that 27 different nationalities are represented within the workforce at the Windsor facilities. In order to acknowledge and welcome all of our employees, our president, Mark Rieser, suggested that we hang flags of the various nations represented.
One of the reasons for this wide diversity dates back many years. In the 1970s, when Governor Ray was the governor of Iowa, he opened the doors to Iowa for refugees from Vietnam and other countries creating a strong workforce from that area of the world. In recent years, there has been an influx of the Burmese people into the state of Iowa. These skilled people from various parts of the world are known for their attention to detail and strong work ethic. We are proud to have many of these talented people employed at our Iowa plant.
Windsor has a very high regard for the various cultures that make our workforce a blend of multi-cultural talents and experiences. In the recent weeks, this beautiful display of flags was implemented at all four Windsor production plants.
