Each month, this internal initiative celebrates those outstanding individuals who make a difference in our company through self-motivation, consistency, dedication and engagement in the work they do every day. The managers from each of our three production facilities will select employees who demonstrate these qualities as “Difference Makers.” We are proud to recognize these special employees who exemplify the strong work ethic and personal integrity, and who make Windsor extraordinary.
Lisa Malloy was nominated as the September Difference Maker for Windsor’s Monroe plant by Area Manager Jeri Pressley, with the following message: “Lisa is a hardworking and dependable team player that will help anyone with anything! She keeps her works area neat and organized, and always has a positive attitude.” Lisa does everything within her power to make sure the job gets done to the best of her ability and she is always willing to help others. Windsor is grateful to Lisa for her dedication to our success. Thank you and congratulations, Lisa!
Israel Merida is Windsor’s Onboarding Specialist in the Human Resources Department. Israel was named the October 2023 Difference Maker in our West Des Moines plant. This is a new position for Windsor, and Israel is proving to be very successful in this role. He has done a wonderful job making newly hired people feel welcomed and comfortable in their roles. He serves as a liaison between managers and their employees because he is excellent at building trusted relationships. Israel always wears a smile and spreads his positive attitude throughout the plant.
The October Difference Maker at Windsor’s Norwalk plant was Quang Nguyen from the Set Up/Extension Jamb Department. Quang is a hardworking employee, and he is known to be a fast learner. He is also an excellent communicator and lets his manager know if something is wrong or if he has questions. If the line-leader is gone, he’s ready and able to step up and fill that role. Quang keeps his area organized and is a master at creating efficiencies and streamlining production. Quang is also willing to help others and support his co-workers when they need assistance.
October’s Difference Maker for Windsor’s Monroe plant was Lameka Rivers. Lameka was the person who received the most submissions in October and every person that recommended her mentioned her positive attitude and willingness to help others. She is a competent problem solver and always has a smile on her face. We can always rely on Lameka to step up and help others with whatever issues that may arise. It is clear to everyone around her that Lameka is genuinely happy to be a Windsor employee. She is the type of person we all enjoy working with.
Congratulations to Manuel Olmedo Sr. from Windsor’s West Des Moines plant. He was designated as the November 2023 Difference Maker at that location. Manuel demonstrates the very best qualities we look for in an employee. He is consistent, motivated, engaged and dedicated. Manuel is a seasoned employee who has excellent attendance and a strong work ethic. He also continues to have a desire to learn and grow within his department. Manuel is not only dedicated to the success of his department but to the overall success of our company.
Russ Gladson was named the November 2023 Difference Maker for Windsor’s Norwalk location. Russ is a long-term employee, and he always comes to work with a positive attitude and a readiness to get things done. He not only meets the needs of all the production areas, but he is focused on helping each department reach their daily goals. He is a master at juggling, managing to accomplish his own tasks while assisting others with their needs. Russ is a true team player. He understands the inner workings of our business and has the knowledge to assist in a variety of situations.
Joy Horne received the November 2023 Difference Maker Award for Windsor’s Monroe plant. Joy has proven to be a valuable employee because she is focused on efficiency and productivity. Everything she does is done with a sense of urgency. On many occasions, Windsor has achieved their goal for the day because of Joy’s unwavering dedication to meeting her quota. Joy understands the importance of getting shipments out on time and she is happy to help others, wherever the need may arise. Her hard work pays off and people take notice.
Nathan Tindell was designated as the December 2023 Difference Maker for the West Des Moines plant. Nathan comes to work every day engaged and ready to go. He is eager and motivated to learn new things and he has acquired many new skills during his time in the Prefinished Interior Department. He performs quality work and is willing to assist whenever needed. Nathan is dedicated to the goals of his department and to the continuous improvement of our company. He has great attendance and works well with his entire team. We are grateful to have such a devoted employee!
Congratulations to Justin Riley of the Norwalk plant for being selected as a December 2023 Difference Maker. Justin works on the Maintenance Team, performing routine checks on all the equipment while maintaining the needs of the various production teams. He is always engaged with the task at hand and performs his work consistently. He is very knowledgeable about all of the equipment he works with and is dedicated to getting everything up and running in a time-efficient manner. Thank you, Justin, for all your hard work!
Congratulations to Bertha Mendoza for being chosen as the 2023 December Difference Maker. Bertha is a member of the Norwalk IG Production team and is a longtime Windsor employee. She is motivated and engaged in the goals of her department, helping others maintain the quality flow of the line. Her coworkers see her as the “go-to” person for the department because of her reliability and consistent work. Thank you to Bertha, and others like her, that make Windsor the best we can be.
