Over the past few months, Windsor has been testing a new quality inspection process. This new focus involves incorporating a product specialist for each production area.
Product specialists received extensive training, so they are proficient with the product and skilled in the manufacturing procedure. Each specialist has a list of responsibilities they must perform throughout the work day, including SOP audits, training personnel and field service investigations.
The specialist holds daily and weekly training sessions with all of their personnel on their specific line. In addition, monthly meetings are held with the Plant Manager, Production Manager, Department Manager, Group Leads and Product Specialist to discuss progress on various topics.
The end goal is to identify each issue and push it upstream to determine the root cause. The root cause is then corrected in order to bring about a permanent resolution.
In time, it is the goal of every company to evolve to this point. We are proud to say Windsor is now ready.
