Windsor recently announced the addition of three new triple insulated glass (IG) options. The new triple IG options will allow products that can accept the 1-1/4” overall (OA) IG thickness to meet Energy Star version 7.0 in the Northern Zone. The products that can accept the 1-1/4” OA IG are Pinnacle Select casement, awning, picture, and Pinnacle clad direct set and radius.

LoE 366
LoE 366 triple IG has been available since the launch of Pinnacle Select windows and is a high-performance glass option for all climates. LoE 366 triple IG combines LoE 366 on surface #2 and LoE 180 on surface #5.
The three new triple IG glass options are 180 Triple, Triple LoE and Triple LoE High Solar (HS).

180 Triple
This high solar option incorporates two LoE 180 coatings on surfaces #2 and #5 and is ideal for passive solar applications by allowing the sun’s heat in the winter to pass into the home while preventing heat loss to the outside.

Triple LoE
Our highest performing triple IG option. This glass option contains three LoE coatings, two LoE coatings in the airspace (LoE 272 on surface #2 and LoE 180 on surface #4), and a third room-side LoE i89 coating on surface #6 for the best U-value possible.

Triple LoE High Solar (HS)
Like Triple LoE, this glass option has three LoE coatings with two LoE 180 coatings in the airspace (surfaces #2 and #4) and a third room-side LoE i89 coating on surface #6. This triple IG option can help products in the Northern Zone meet Energy Star 7.0 criteria by using the Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) tradeoffs while providing a superior U-value to our standard LoE 180 triple IG.
